One part sugar
Two parts spice
Play me once
I'll break you twice....
Cuz in the end
You're just like them
A fake, a joke
Someone to condemn
The hope and the excitment
I thought that'd you'd stay
But that hope is now gone
It has withered away.
It's cool, I'm fine, I'll get through.
Silly ol' me
Thought I could trust you.
Thanks once again
For letting me feel
All these broken pieces
That just started to heal.
I know where you stand
I can see you below me
Found out first hand
Indirectly, you told me
Too shallow too swim
Yet still not breathin air
Goin out on a limb
You just don't care
Artistic, I see
Spittin those rhymes
Still no angel in me
Told you how many times?
But the clock still keeps tickin
Till the battery runs out
This girl keeps on kickin
Though I'm shrouded in doubt
You have your reasons
Of that I know
Faded just like the seasons
A memory of woe
So where are you?
Now that your colors are seen
What can you do?
Cuz I'm comin' clean.
Wipin these hands
Though cracked and bruised
F*ck your demands
I will not be used
I'm gonna haunt your thou

The One They Call Ash
And she sat there, the remains of her heart in her hand. As her tears fell onto the ash in her palm, she wondered how love's fire could warm you one moment, burn you the next.
It didn't matter that the charred remains she saw at her feet were her dreams. Those dreams were gone now. They were wisps of smoke, curling towards the heavens, only to be defeated by the wind.
She stood in the silent world that had once been so full of life. Brushing her hands together, she dismissed the joys her heart once held. A tear cut its way through the dust on her cheek, almost as if trying to outrun the numbness.
Too little, too late. Without a glance back
Sitting here under the moon by the sea
My skin porcelain in her light
I look up to the sky
And taste the Ocean
The same water that I sit by
Flows freely from my eyes
I wonder
Are you looking up?
Are you seeing what I see?
Do you feel the connection too?
The Moon dances upon the water
Her reflection shimmering
The Ocean seems to support the Moon's weight
Creating a dance so intricate and lovely
That I swear my heart breaks from the sight
Wrong time
Wrong place
Wrong lover's face
Not you
Not me
Wish you were free
My pain
My tears
My constant fears
Your love
Your heart
A work of art
Not whole
Not sane
Not held in the rain
A rip
A tear
Wish I was there
A hole
A break
Make no mistake
Set free
Let go
Now you know
You're gone
You're free
Feel not for me

Something We Share
Arms wrapped around my knees
Eyes closed, trying to stop the tears
But it didn't matter then
And it doesn't matter now
I shut my eyes tight
And the liquid pain streams from my eyes
Here I am
Naked and vulnerable
Wishing I could feel your body pressed against me
Wishing you were free of pain
Wishing your breath was on my neck now
I will endure this pain
No, please don't take it
If it's something we share...
I want it forever
Forgotten
Alone
In a freeze frame
Minutes tick by
But you're nothing
A thought
Gone in a second
A wish
Made in a moment
What are we? We only last so long
Nothing is forever
Black eyeliner enhancing
White skin
Intense hazel eyes
Semi hidden under
Dark shagged hair
Dog tags and chokers
Around her neck
Black tee-shirt
Under a heavy ripped leather jacket
Chipped black paint
Coating her claws
Heavy silver rings
On each finger
Big black boots
Baggy black pants
Hair ties and bangles
On each scarred arm
Smells like a winter campfire
Even in the summer
A 'back off' attitude
With a 'fuck you' glare
A 'try me' smile
With a 'cyanide-sweet' tone
An aura dark as midnight
They say she is the devil
They say she fears no one
They say she makes flames come from her fingertips
They say she eats razor-blades
I spit venom at them a
